6/22/2005 - Major updates to the website include some additional competition photos, update vehicle descriptions, and additions to the Media page including 2005 vehicle design reports.
6/13/2005 - The team concluded competition in the 2005 IGVC and was extremely successful. Virginia Tech swept the competition winning 8 of the 9 top spots as well as winning first, second, and third place overall. Check out the new results page for a summary of the competition. The team would like to thank all of our sponsors and supports for help during the year.

10/2004 - Gemini travels to Roanoke, VA to participate in a keynote address by Virginia Tech President Chalres Steger at the Hotel Roanoke to the Capital Access Forum Convention.
8/2004 - AVT forms with a new group of senior design team members and volunteers.
Summer 2004 Events:
8/2004 - AVT vehicles Gemini and Johnny-5 travel to Austin, Texas to participate in the Annual National Instruments (NI) NIWeek exhibition
7/2004 - AVT Vehicles participate in a exhibition at Alumni Event in Greensboro, NC.
6/2004 - AVT vehicles Gemini and Johnny-5 demonstrate autonomous navigation during a presentation to students and faculty at the Unversity of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming.
6/2004 - AVT vehicles Gemini and Johnny-5 travel to Slat Lake City, Utah to particpate in the The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) Annual conference in cooperation with National Instruments.
6/2004 - AVT participates in the 12th Annual Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC) and wins the $10,000 grand prize! Johnny-5 wins first place overall and Gemini wins the design competition and 3rd place overall. AVT wins a total of 6 of the 9 competitive awards as well as $12,200 in prize money. Virginia Tech was the only team from the United States to place in any competition.
3/2004 - AVT participates in the official announcement ceramony for the Joint Unmanned Systems Test, Experimentation, and Research (JOUSTER) at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR).
